OBO sets worldwide priorities for the design, construction, acquisition, maintenance, use, and sale of real properties and the use of sales proceeds. OBO oversees a portfolio with an estimated replacement value of $82B, including over 25,000 total assets - approximately 9,000 owned and more that 15,000 leased, and including 931 office buildings and 16,315 residences. OBO supports 70,000 diplomatic staff in 290 locations worldwide, while currently managing over 600 projects representing $34B in value.
OBO has a diverse global portfolio which makes OBO approach acquisition, design and construction different each time and the October FRPA will focus on how OBO is using “The Embassy Effect” to show the positive impact new U.S. Embassy projects are having on cities and communities.
