May 24th Panel Discussion on Historic Preservation of Federal Buildings
Help celebrate National Historic Preservation Month on May 24 with a lunchtime FRPA Panel on Historic Preservation of federal buildings at the offices of Holland & Knight at 800 17th Street NW. Federal historic preservation requirements apply to approximately one third of GSA’s 1500 owned buildings. Buildings that the government declares surplus and disposes of are also subject to historic preservation requirements. Learn more about the national preservation program and how the government and the private sector balance historic preservation and neighborhood revitalization efforts. We are switching things up by serving lunch after the session. Check-in begins at 11:30. The panel will begin at 12 noon and will be followed by lunch from 1pm to 1:30pm.
FRPA events are considered off-the-record and are not for attribution.
The venue for this in-person event requires the completion of a COVID-19 screening questionnaire to be completed the day of the event prior to arrival. The venue also requires visitors to be fully vaccinated, have had no COVID-19 symptoms for the past 10 days, have not tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days, and have not been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 or COVID-19 symptoms in the past 10 days. Masks are required to enter the facility. FRPA will email confirmed attendees with additional details 2 days prior to the event.
